Great defensive weapon & Cane
2 of 2 found this helpful We walk two Labrador Retriever's in an area that has many Coyote's. Since they travel in packs we see them all the time on our walks. The Coyote's are not afraid of Human's and in many instances will attack a Dog that is on a long lead. In a near by semi-retirement community they have been suffering the loss's of their dogs and several Senior's have been injured from falling to try and protect their pets. Those Senior's just don't get it and continue to use long leads which is like dangling a lolly pop in front of a child. That said and to make a long story short; I don't like to use deadly force with regards to animals unless the situation warrants that use (loss of life). So while I was trying to find a big strong walking stick I ran into Cold Steel's African Walking Stick that cannot be broken. I feel very confident that I can protect my wife and Dog's from attack from Coyote's. The one thing I failed to purchase was the rubber tips that fit on the Walking Stick which is a must when walking.
