Best Mouthpiece For Nuvo Gear
This is the best mouthpiece for Nuvo’s Clarineo, and DooD. It far outperforms the originals. Easier to get the right sounds.

It’s Okay—Mechanism Needed Adjusting
I believe the one I received is a second, a rework, or refurb, as some of the mechanisms stick when they should be open. I had to play it for awhile to discover where the friction and sticking was located and adjust as I could to get it working.
It is fun to play, once it gets working. It is also lightweight and that is a good thing for both younger and older players.
Since it is priced quite low, I suspect it’s a decent value. However, if you’re not used to tweaking instruments, you might want to consider another source.

Great Introductory Instrument
This is a neat little instrument that will get you accustom to instruments with a reed—clarinets, saxophones and such. It is well made and tough as nails (ABS Plastic). It uses soprano sax reeds, and comes with a #1.5 synthetic reed. I actually prefer the synthetics as they last longer and take a little less time to get you to your first, decent sounding notes. It comes with a zippered bag, and a mouthpiece cover. Nuvo says this is essentially a recorder. I disagree as its range is only 1 octave. However, you can’t beat it for the price. All documentation, sample tracks can be downloaded from the nuvo site.
