Best in it's price range.
This is an excellent mic. In this price range, you can't go wrong with the enCORE300, either in the studio or on stage (as long as you have phantom power).

Great!
Almost addictive. You'll be making oil-free potato chips all the time. My only recommendation is to put salt (or other seasonings on) before microwaving.

Great mixer
If you need a 1U rack mount mixer, there are not a lot available. I did a lot of research before choosing this product and I'm very happy with the purchase.
Following are some notes and items on competing products that I noticed that helped me come to my decision. Hopefully, this will save you some time in your decision making process:
The Samson SM10 has the items this mixer has (phantom power and front headphone jack). But, with the Samson SM10, the on/off switch is on the back. This mixer is meant for rack installation. So, that's going to be an annoyance. This product (ART MX822) has the power switch on the front.
The Tascam US-1800 is 1U, but is more of an interface (A/D and D/A) than an mixer.
The Alesis MultiMix 8 is a 1U mixer. But, has no phantom power and no front headphone jack (which I use sometimes when playing in a noisy restaurant to hear my levels).
The ART MX822 has the headphone jack, the phantom power, the front panel on/off switch, and more. Just a great product.
