Bring your old laptop into the N band era
I installed an N band router on my Century Link DSL modem and my older XP and Win 7 laptops could not use that band because their installed WiFi cards were only b/g band. Both OSs installed using Windows update drivers so now I can connect using both this adapter and my old cards for higher throughput.

When your TV doesn't provide an RCA audio output
4 of 4 found this helpful I needed to improve upon the poor tinny sounding speakers provided by my new 32" LED TV. I had an RCA Home Theater system but it had no SPDIF input, only an AUX RCA Red/White input. So I looked around for a converter that would do the trick and happened upon this easy to use module. I also wanted one that would be powered by the USB port of the TV so that it would only draw power when the TV was on, not powered by another wall wart. This device does exactly everything I was looking for so I am extremely happy about this low cost solution. I didn't need to buy a different model TV nor did I have to look for a different Home Theater system. This converter was only about $6 with shipping from China and all I had to provide were the patch cables that I already had...one for the input and two for the output.

Nice value and quality
I use a lot of dual wipe sockets because of their reliability and these are of great value and high quality.
