Tough and take abuse
These rods are tough, take abuse and are sensitive enough for bottom-bouncing. I use heavy braided line with 17 lb fluorocarbon leader because I have clients/friends who spend much of the time hung up. Hooks and line often break but the rods have not and we routinely put a lot of pressure/torque on them. In all fairness, this is the only application I use these rods for, but for this purpose, they are excellent.
