A HUGE disappointment for a criterion release Blu Ray
You would figure that with the expensive price one pays for Criterion Blu Rays....mostly 30.00+. You will get what you pay for. Not the case with this one. Love the movie...the restoration stinks when played on a UHD TV and Oppo 103 with the 2K to 4K upconversion. I see Criterion is re releasing some of its older blu rays using 4K. (Monterey Pop). This one definitely needs to go on the list.
The oly redeeming factor is that I got it used for a song on e bay.

Good Restoration.
This movie was released in the Summer of '69. I saw it in Roma Italia. As a teenager I loved the theme.
This restoration in Blu Ray is a good one in spite of the age of the film. Sharpness is good colors are vivid. For the descendants of the Baby boomers it is an insight into boomer parents th inking of the time they were young.
Not too pricey. Worth the bucks. Gets a 4/5.
