excellent book
1 of 1 found this helpful Very practical book. One that should on every practitioner's (teacher, administrator...)desk. I am still digesting its content, but so far, I think that the recommendations are on target. It is what we should be doing in the classroom to improve instruction and making teaching effective.

Great historical item but poor source of divine validation!
1 of 1 found this helpful O'Reilly and Dugard make a careful historical reconstruction of events of the life of Jesus-the man. I was hoping that at one point the authors were going to hint some form of validation of Jesus as a God or even the son of God. But, the authors were very careful not to deviate from the evidence collected and analyzed for this project. I like the book for its value as an historical compilation and for the simplicity with which the facts are exposed and contrasted against the evidence. However, its theological value compared to books written for that purpose will remain limited.
