Great for fantasy-loving kids
The images (the puzzles) are decent and the cover displays the style maintained throughout the book. Each puzzle has a small detail or two of interest (ie. fairies) and the text is appropriate giving a brief introduction to several fantasy beasts. There are two creatures per puzzle and an associated page with text. The first has a western and eastern dragon, the next has a unicorn and griffin, a chimera and kraken follow, then there is one with cerberus and hydra, after that is one with a phoenix and a centaur, and the werewolf and bunyip are last. The final page has a 'can you find it' game with images that match parts of the puzzles. The puzzles are easy to keep separate because each one has a backing of a different color. The quality of the pieces is average. They are a thin cardboard, but there is no peeling and I don't think bending will be an issue since they are stored flat in the book.
