HUD - Don't bother.
1 of 1 found this helpful For the petrol heads among you this may seem like a good buy but don't bother. It's very poor overall quality but hey: what would you expect for £35? I'd at least want it to do what it says.
The instructions are wrtten in "Chinglish" which is like trying to read Shakespere after downing a bottle of whiskey in one go - it just doesn't make sense. The menu system is infuriating and I could never get it to match the actual speedo on the car - it was always about 5mph slower - not good when driving in cities - especially with the introduction of very heavy speeding fines recently here in the UK.
My advice - just don't bother. It's not worth it and your sanity will be saved.

It works!
The trusty G5RV antenna is an antenna that people are either going to love or hate. You'll hear many people saying that they are good and others saying they are bad. My experience has been a good one. Simply put, it's an antenna that's never going to break any records, but it wild the job.
It will never do things brilliantly but it does work. For example, on 80m using the full size (102ft) I found that it was down by approximately 2 S points over my dedicated 80m doublet. Not bad really and the important thing here is that people could still hear me and I could still hear them.
Overall, it's a well made antenna but remember the golden rule here: the higher the better! Having the open wire feeder trailing along the ground will seriously compromise the performance. The OWF needs to be as straight as possible as this is also a radiating part of the antenna.
They do work - without question and are an excellent introduction to HF antennas in general.

Stay well clear!
Terribly cheap construction. Item was poorly made and the PCB board internally looked like a child had tried to solder it together. Stay well clear. I would go so far to say that this is a dangerous item.
