The Sharp Sharpener
I've bought many manual pencil sharpeners over the years. This one is by far the best. It sharpens quickly and smoothly; doesn't stick or hang-up or break the point as some of the small sharpeners do. I love it and would recommend it to anyone from grade-school, to college and even to an executive. It gets the job done silently (unlike electric sharpeners) and has a large recepticlel for the shavings. When full it's very easy to empty. Get one, you'll see.

The old ways are still good
I bought this item because I was atteacted by the cover and I love learning about how things were done in the past when times were simpler and so were "needs". I like this compendium because it has a great bit of information on each of the ingredients it examines. The information is sensible and useful even in today's society. I like it because it makes me feel connected to the generations of women before me who depended on these simple, common ingredients to help get their jobs done well and efficiently. The display however did lead me to believe that these were general household hints rather than the specific uses for only a few products. All in all, it's very readable and I've enjoyed the information.
