Unreliable, avoid
Considering this is usb 3.1/C compatible, its performance is very poor. It takes no time at all for it to get really warm, even hot. Once this happens it throttles data transfer speeds to kbs, not even Mb. My old WD Elements portable mechanical drive far exceeds this device in performance. It never reaches anywhere near close to the transfer rates it advertises.
I have no confidence in the reliability of this device, so after it taking hours to backup data that I was able to backup onto my WD in minutes, it is now sat in a drawer. I wanted a small footprint device for easy, portable and efficient access to my files between devices, this is not it.
