Pardon me while I brag !
1 of 1 found this helpful A friend of mine hurt his back several years ago, and was always bragging about how a mattress warmer had helped him so much. Whether it was a bad back, arthritis, or old age, I was noticing that I was stiff in the mornings so I bought one . Instant relief ! A truly great additional benefit is that you can sleep in a much cooler room and be as snug as a bug in a rug ! Lower utility bills are an extra bonus as well. HIGHLY Recommended. P.S. My first one was a cheaper brand that you see a lot of, it lasted one winter and part of another before crapping out. I bought a Sunbeam, and am starting my fourth winter still working fine. The extra few $$ were well worth it for the quality.

Still fun after all these years
I bought this system on a lark, as I remembered that I had a box of old games in the closet somewhere along with an old console that would still ocassionally fire up.
Almost every one of my old games,(most over 20 yrs old at least) still will work on this new system. 1943, Link, Jackal, Mario Bros 1,2,3 are still fun games to play.
Maybe the graphics and effects are primitve by today`s standards, but one thing lost or overlooked by the modern games is that simplicity in itself can be FUN.
Some of the modern systems can do so many things with the controller that it can be frustrating to the ocassional player in trying to figure out which of the 4 buttons to push,the 2 guidance controls to manuever, and how to quickly manuever the 2 or 3 subscreens necessary to equip the paticular item out of the dozens available to use.
In this aspect, this system shines. The games may be less graphic laden, but are still fun. They remind you why you fell in love with video systems in the first place.
The only minor gripe I have with this is, as could be expected, the after market controllers are not as good as you might hope.
They are, acceptable, and on a less than $50. system understandable.
Overall, this system rocks as a whole.
I have played both 8 and 16 bit games and am impressed by it`s ease of use.
Hook it up, turn it on, you`re ready to go.
A lot of flea market, yard sale, and thrift stores have lots of these old games for next to nothing.
An inexpensive NEW console like this can bring back a few fun memories for a very few $$.
