I found this rod very difficult to use. ...
I found this rod very difficult to use. I was brazing 1/4" maliable cast iron to 1/4" mild steel with ~85 amps. I used my old Miller dialarc 250hp TIG welder, set to AC with the HF on. The Aluminum bronze would not wet to the partent metals without over heating the rod and the cast iron. I did try pre-heating the parent metals with my Oxyacetylene. I have to admit his could be my inexperience, or the older welder I was using.
