Solid reference for anyone interested in Tillamook Rock lighthouse
This is a great little reference book if you are interested in Tillamook Rock lighthouse. The author went to great pains to procure some original construction documents and also a daily journal of one of the rock preparation foreman! The documentation of construction is probably the book's strongest selling point. The weak point is the writing, the author evidently put more effort into research than writing here. At times I found it difficult to understand due to sentence structure errors and disjointed concepts/ideas. Be prepared for many editorial errors of spelling and whatnot. Those who are motivated to discover all they can about this amazing lighthouse shouldn't find it too difficult to look past the minor annoyance. I certainly don't regret my purchase and recommend this book to any enthusiast of Terrible Tilly!

Handiest plier-wrench on the market.
This handy little plier-wrench is unbelievably useful. I have two; one for the tool box and the other for my pocket 24/7. It's that handy! KNIPEX pliers will not "round" fasteners like a crescent wrench tends to do.

Down to earth explanations for boiler science, concepts and maintenance.
This is the most down to earth text for maintaining plants I've ever read. The content is presented in a manner that is extremely attainable to the average reader. Concepts are explained with easy to understand illustrations and the reader is brought up to speed as the text progresses. This is not one of those engineering books that is written in such a way that the content is mystifying. I highly recommend.
