Reliable and Fast Laser Printer
The printer is fast and the print quality is very good. Upgrading the memory was easy and inexpensive as well. It is a workgroup/business class printer that was too expensive for home use when new, but at this price, it is far better than the affordable personal-use laser printers on the market today.
Since these were business class printers when new, it is likely that many have seen extensive use over the years. They stand up to this use well, but finding a fully refurbished unit or one with a lower page count is advised.
The footprint is not small enough to sit on many desktops, but given the fact that it is a workgroup class printer, it isn't overly large.
I have the 2055DN, which has a built-in ethernet port, so setting it up on my network took a little extra work as Windows 10 did not automatically find drivers for it, but after downloading software from HP support, I was able to get it running on my network without much difficulty.
One note is that it is not a quiet printer. It does have a quiet mode, which is quieter, but not quiet enough to justify running at 1/2 speed which is what it does when in quiet mode.
