Great value and ideal for birding!
1 of 1 found this helpful I debated between spending over twice as much and getting a Swarovski or getting the Vortex. I went with the Vortex because my first scope was a Vortex and they have the best warranty available. With the savings I plan on buying a high end pair of binoculars. My first Vortex spotting scope was the beginner Nomad scope that claimed to have 20X60 magnification. In reality only 20X - 30X is usable on a basic scope. With the Razor HD the entire 27X - 85X is usable but after 60X the additional magnification is minimal.
The Vortex Razor HD is a great scope and you will not be disappointed. Very easy to use and quickly locate your subject.
