Less than the original
1 of 1 found this helpful My only reservation about this item concerns the aluminum bottle connection. My original fitting is brass and the bottle threads on easily and smoothly. With this one the alignment mating the two was questionable getting it straight and I had to take care to avoid the possibility of cross threading.
I did select "yes" for the selections but would like to see a quantifiable (1-5 or 1-10) scale. I would give "value" a 8, and "quality" a 6.

No more guessing
Only used once so far. Haven't tried all the features just the one telling me the internal temp of the meat. As far as I'm concerned that's all I need/want. The length of the probe leads allow me to insert the probe, close the lid, and rest the unit on the side grill tray. TADA !

Cable substitute
1 of 1 found this helpful The item was delivered quicker than expected and even though it was not in the original box all the parts were there. Assembly was relatively easy. It received stations when first tested indoors but performance did seem to improve when I moved it outside and in a more favorable direction. It's temporarily mounted only about 5ft off the ground and there are occasional signal interruptions and pixelation. I am able to receive 29 stations which fills the information gap though not really thrilled with the programming that's available. That's not the antenna's fault. At the price it was a good choice for the circumstances and other options available.
