A very practical alternative to cable TV
I had a problem with the streaming programs not filling my screen. Upon contacting Roku, they went out of their way to resolve the issue. My first attempt failed. They referred me to the TV manufacturer. Panasonic provided as much help as they were capable and referred me back to Roku, telling me the aspect ratio had to be changed on the Roku unit. Once I returned to Roku, it took over an hour to resolve the issue in a chat format. This included resetting the unit, changing the speed the signal was entering my TV, etc. The end result was euphoria. When I compare this experience to Comcast, it is like night and day. I know you will be pleased with Roku, irrespective of the unit purchased.

Great Picture, user friendly remote, easy to set up
The LG 42LB5600 42" TV arrived before the scheduled delivery date. It was well packaged, easy to connect the Roku and cable box, as well as, set up the TV after reading the user manual. The quality of the picture, in the normal mode, was as good or a bit better than my new Samsung 50" which was too large for the room. Unlike the Samsung which automatically paired with my Comcast X1 remote, pairing the LG TV to my Comcast X1 remote required putting in a number of code numbers. Given the vast price difference between the two TVs, this was a minor glitch. The construction of the housing of the unit was as expected or slightly better than other TVs in this price range. The LG response time with the remote is a bit longer than the Samsung. The sound quality is good if you go to the settings and try some of the options. The default setting was not robust nor clear, but the final setting makes for a pleasant, listening experience. Only having the LG TV for a mere several days, I can not attest to the reliability or durability of the unit.

Samsung 40 inch smart LED TV
The TV is light weight making is easy to move. The remote is comprehensive and easy to use. The picture quality is excellent even during action scenes. The sound quality was impressive. Previously, I owned a LCD TV and the picture quality is comparable. I feel it was a great product for the price.
