Dependable and built to last
This is the second Dremel tool I've owned. The first I bought in the early 80's and it too was a variable speed. It finally wore out and this is it's replacement. Made even better than the last, heavier plastic with a better design to remove the various tools you will need to use it.
I was going to buy a Harbor Freight rotary tool but after looking at the reviews it suffers from a cheap plastic case that will crack if you try to tighten the chuck very tight. Even though it costs less than 1/3 the price of a Dremel the Dremel will probably last more than 3 times longer. Buy the Dremel 4000, you won't be disappointed.

Not ready for prime time
Although it did work the sound quality wasn't very good, it had a tinny sound that was obviously caused by the tiny speaker. I wouldn't recommend this as a hearing aid, more like a toy quality but then you "get what you pay for"! Buyer beware.

Works perfectly and has a very long cord.
I need this patch cord for doing FPV flying with a quad copter. It works great and could be used for other electronic projects as well.
