3 of 3 found this helpful The attenuation that I was looking for occurred in the last 10% of the knob travel toward minimum. Is there a heavy duty resistor that has more of an audio taper? Aside from that I still find it very usable. Without it my HR Deluxe was headed for E Bay. The clean channel is much nearer to the "sweet spot," and the OD channel is usable for the first time. I wonder if a lot of HR Deluxe amps are sold cheap becuase they can't be tamed! With Carl's Speaker Soak the HRD lives up to its potential. ...and by the way, much better and cheaper than yellow jackets and EL 84--which I recently tried.
