Nakamichi AV 10 5.1
1 of 1 found this helpful This is our second Nak AV 10 receiver we have had. The first one we gave to one of our sons not long ago. Doesn't have all the current bells an whistles but we don't need or want all current stuff. I just set it up so the HMDI cable directly from the satellite receiver to our TV because the AV 10 uses S video inputs/outputs. No big deal. We have a Yamaha Rx1900 which is current and is a great sounding AV receiver, however, the Nakamichi AV 10 sounds so much better (analogue RCA inputs/outputs as opposed to digital) and the Nak's AV 10 two(2) channel stereo sounds much better than the Yamaha RX-1900. Not to Knock the Rx1900 it is a good AV surround receiver. I learned we don't think the 7.1 was any better than the 5.1 surround, in our families opinion. We still use the Rx1900 5.1 setup rather than the 7.1 (i actually had 11 speakers system set up on the Yamaha Rx1900 and still prefer the Nakamichi 5.1 setup)because reselling we would have lost several hundred invested $$$.,( receivers aren't worth much after they've been used) so it's been moved to another listening room. The only real issue with the AV 10 is it'll be hard to find parts and repairs will cost more because it's been years since the last one was manufactured. Then the fact it still works @ 100% should say a lot about this av receiver.

The Atlas Sound D-20GB Diaphragm
I was not able to use because i learn that the magnet of the K-55V driver is, was defective yet i am sure the diaphragm is fine.

To soon to comment
Too soon to tell how good a product these are. The original's lasted 25+ years. These have been on for only 3 weeks, an so, way too soon to know whether it'll last (very long) nearly as long, don't ya think? Why are you asking me to comment so soon?
