Decent Drive for older servers/workstations

Since this is only a 3.0Gbps drive versus the newer 6.0Gbps, it is still a good deal and a great fit for older motherboards with 3.0Gbps SATA ports. Combined with older XEON motherboards, this makes a great NAS build, especially for media servers.

Surface Pro 3 12" Tablet

As long as I've been in the tech industry, laptops have been key to working in the field. I was cautious in going the tablet route due to small keyboards and lack of power. I have to admit that when I purchased the Surface Pro 3, my mind was changed. This is great for entertainment use but in all honesty, the best use-case scenario is for business. You practically get the full-power of a laptop while maintaining a small size for portability. With the added benefit of having a full-size USB port and mini-HDMI output, you can work from the tablet or a large-screen monitor/TV as your needs require. The docking station option is nice if this is the only PC you need. Otherwise, use a desktop when at your desk and take this on the road. Even though there are some cons to buying a tablet, the biggest is still the price. For purchasing a new Surface Pro, the cost is in many cases higher than a full-size laptop with more power and features. However, it portability is what you're looking for with most everything you can get in a laptop, this is a great option especially when purchasing used and in good condition!
