Never fails, peace of mind.
2 of 2 found this helpful Used even in very remote points of New Zealand (north and south islands) and on Australian coast - it never fails to transmit. Also used during trip to Kenai Peninsula , Alaska. I travel alone, and wife has peace of mind that I'm still alive when she receives daily notices. Online setup allows multiple email addresses to keep a lot of people in the loop, and links to visual google map image of exact coordinates to show them where I am. I lost my first spot gen3 so had to buy a second. Kicking myself, but Galapagos Islands, here I come next. Item is very rugged, and repels water very well. I've never submerged, but have been in heavy rain. Orange color help spotting if you set down to transmit and I recommend clipping your car keys to it if you do set it down so you don't drive off without it! I do think the $149 annual contract for online is too pricey, but will use it until something better comes along. Otherwise I love it!

Waste of time and money
These adapters do not work. Once installed, inflating fitting does not work, air pressure gauge does not work. The product is completely useless. Don't waste your time and money.
