Very handy item for a keen gardener
I do not use the bin for composting as such, but use it to hold compostable matter for about a week before moving it to the main compost heap. Very robust bin that gives off no smell. Good carrying handle for transport. I would buy another if this one got damaged.

Detective story set in the future
I like "hard" science fiction, ie no magic or dragons etc just science of the future. Few books seem to be authored these days for this type of fiction and hence I often look for books written by the "old masters" that I have not yet read. Typically these include Clarke, Niven, Pournelle, Forward etc. Hence I was attracted to this series of books. However it is really a detective/spy story set in the near future and as such a little disappointing. the quality of writing is not up to Clarke's standard. However I am reading the whole series and finding them enjoyable.

Classic science fiction but a little dated
I like "hard" science fiction, ie no magic or dragons etc just science of the future. Few books seem to be authored these days for this type of fiction and hence I often look for books written by the "old masters" that I have not yet read. Typically these include Clarke, Niven, Pournelle, Forward etc. Hence I was attracted to this series of books. However whilst Clarke's style is first class the books are now very dated. Nothing is more annoying than reading a science fiction book where the science is advanced past the book's level and the book has made wrong assumptions. Not something that happens regularly for Clarke but in this series of books I am afraid that is the case.
