Superb Account of One Man’s Experience in Training and War and his Heroic Survival!
Thoroughly absorbing account of Marcus Luttrell’s experience
in the US military, starting with his basic training and dealing mainly with his harrowing story of combat and survival. Very exciting account of Luttrell and comrades from start to finish.

Great Author, Grisly and Ugly Subject
Stephen Hunter is a fabulous author of several works of fiction,He describes London in 1888 and the truly horrifying deeds of Jack the Ripper. But beware... his description of the murder of five women is very graphic and ugly and his details remain with me as a recurring display of bestiality and so hard to forget. What got me through this book was the marvelous spoken words and the beauty of Hunter’s narrative.
