1994 Ford Explorer XLT
1 of 1 found this helpful It is a wonderful truck when it is running, not in the same as it is moving. I knew when I picked it up I would need to put a new clutch in-you really could tell. I thought I would get at the most 2000 miles out of it, didn't get that far, only could get 800 miles. Tires were no where close to good tread dummies without a gauge use a penny to check. I should have checked for myself if the 4WD worked. I had the transmission shop check it when they rebuilt the whole transmission and replaced the worn out clutch, they told me the electric shift motor was going bad and the hubs were not working, they said low range will still work if 4WD is engaged or not but not the same as all 4 wheels working at the same time it just slows the speed down. I have $1860 in transmission and clutch, $360 in new tires, still have to buy hubs $250 just for the hubs another $250 for installation, windshield installed $200. I haven't had a chance to get it inspected, I know that will be at least another $500 considering I hear a loud thunk when I hit just a bump on the right side and brakes are down to the feelers, along with the emergence brake does not hold on hills. All this is just for safety issues. A/C is a luxury, that will be another $250. Not too many good comments on this truck other than it did come with keyless entry and it runs good for a 14 year old SUV.

V&H Fuelpak great price superior performance
I had a V&H Fuelpak on an 04 RK Custom ran like a raped ape, decided on my 08 Harley Police bike the only choice was the Fuelpak. Very easy install, great V&H customer support, talked with same tech from 3 yrs back. A+++++++
