Recoil
1 of 1 found this helpful Take the feature film "Heat" minus the big names and you get 'Recoil". This film if nothing else is a rollercoaster ride of action from the opening minutes. The movies makes up for a weak script by the compelling story and strong direction. The characters are not just some stick figures but real human beings and the direction is done in a stylish manner. Recoil is one of the top independent action films of the 90's. It's refreshing in that you can actually see and feel real people doing real things and the stunts are incredibly exciting, unlike today's films where everything is overblown with Computer generated effects. Camahco comes across as the "B Grade" Michael Bay with his sense of style and pacing.
