: cork & rubber record mat

Thick and heavy
I chose this particular mat due to its thickness and mass. Most cork turntable mats feel cheap and flimsy to me and not much of an improvement to the felt mats that come with many mid and low priced tables. This mat has an excellent and substantial feel and mass.
This comes with the caveat of likely addressing the Vertical Tracking Adjustment of the tonearm if one is a huge stickler for precise tonearm settings and cart angle as this mat will almost certainly be slightly taller than most mats this would replace but the feel and quality are excellent.

Aja reissue
2 of 2 found this helpful I am pretty impressed with the quietness of the vinyl, the dynamics of the disc and the sound quality. I still wish that a full remastering of this classic record would be completed (as well as all of Steely Dan's catalog) to do it justice based on audiophile vinyl standards.
From a performance perspective, this is SDs best album and is one album that I consider "perfect". There is no better collection of tracks that groove on any album, ever, than side 2. Incredible.
