Basic Val
This version of the Japanese Val is a basic 1970's Airfix model. Not a lot of detail inside but with some good paint the model looks pretty good on display. There is no machine gun for the radio operator/gunner included in the kit so you will have to add your own. Same with bombs under the wings. The crew figures are pretty poor, you will have to use spares from another kit unless you want to have people looking at aliens flying the Val. Since the model is in the "Constant Scale" series, it fits in with the US Wildcat and Japanese Zero produced in the same decade. Decals are just Hinomaru markings , no description of what unit is being portrayed by the decals.
Have fun with the model!
