Sony left out a key piece in this mount!
This mount seems to be pretty sturdy. It's a little tricky figuring out how to attach it to the backpack strap, but the included illustration helps. The one major flaw is that Sony assumes that you already have an "Attachment Buckle," which is a plastic clip that connects the "joint base" to the "mount". The "Attachment Buckle" is supplied by Sony in the Adhesive Mount kit. I hope the Sony product manager who decided not to include the "Attachment Buckle" in the Backpack Mount kit had a chance to contemplate a view of his intestines before he passed.
