most unlikely rockstar
they waited a very long time to write a book about the worlds most unlikely rock star. the yardbirds are remembered mostly for 3 things-- clapton - beck and page. those 3 guys were egomaniacs and is probably why they reached such heights. but keith was a very private person who suffered from chronic athsma and depression. he suffered a collapsed lung after the bands second single and was told he would never sing again. yet just a couple of months later he would return and the band scored a number 1 hit. the one lung singer who was taught harmonica by the great American Blues man sonny boy Williamson has been greatly forgotten and often criticized for his limitations as a singer. but Keith was a musical genius who gave his bands away to other people who took them to heights he himself was never able to reach. i don't think Keith wanted to be famous, he was ill suited for the life of a rock star, even telling interviewers after the success of for your love that he was surprised that anyone was interested and figured that in a years time nobody would be interested anymore.... Keith will always be my favorite front man, whether its the Yardbird's or renaissance or Armageddon,. this book is short with a sadness that fits Keith perfectly but is limited in its over all scope. i suggest picking up a copy of " the ultimate rave up " along with this book to give a fuller picture.

In the garden CD
This is the second album from Miss Molly and the whips. It's a live recording with good energy and decent material. Not easy to find this CD. Gets two thumbs up from me !
