Keter 71-gallon storage box

I was a bit skeptical when I started to assemble this deck box but after completing, I was very pleased with it. The whole thing snaps together with little effort and took no longer than 10min. to complete. The box is sealed up nice tight which should keep moisture and mice at bay. It is also sturdy enough to easily support me sitting on top of it.........and I’m no lightweight!

DIY Vinyl Growth chart decal

I stained a 6’ pine 1”x8” board and applied this growth chart decal for a Christmas present this year. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The decals are thick enough that they don’t rip or pull away and they look fantastic. First stain your 1”x8”x6’ board and then let it sit for a couple days to dry or the decals will not stick. Mark the board lightly 4” from the bottom (the growth chart will hang 8” from floor) and then every 12” all the way up. Apply the stickers aligning with the marks that you made on the board. Now use a credit card to squeeze out the air bubbles. You can stop here or apply a coat of polyurethane as I did just to prevent the little fingers from peeling of the decals. I also used a router with a keyhole slot cutter to make the hanger for mine but if you don’t have a router you can buy a picture frame hanger to nail onto the back.
