No-nonsense powerful computer
Very pleased with this computer. Other than standard spec, mine has a 1Gb Radeon HD6570 graphics card.
Previous computer: intel 2 x xeon 3.00ghz 6 Gb RAM - the HP Compaq 8300 is so much more capable.
Used for editing HD videos in Sony Vegas which it handles very well without faltering, no need for proxy videos.
No doubt there are much more powerful units, but I have no complaints with this one ... yet

Fantastic camera, but make sure your computer can handle all the video formats and your phone can work with the new gopro app!
3 of 3 found this helpful I upgraded from Hero 4 to the Hero 9 and it's certainly a much more capable camera. It's a fantastic camera is so many ways BUT there are two big things that perhaps I should have looked into first before buying: 1. The Gopro app (now called Quik) that worked so well for my Hero 4 has been upgraded into a version that my phone software can't use (and the phone won't upgrade further), so I would need to buy a new phone to access what was a very useful app; 2. Much of the high end video formats (HEVC) are too heavy for my computer - I can view and edit them after installing appropriate codecs AND upgrading editing software, but it's so slow and glitchy. There are still plenty of good formats you can use, like 4k 25fps so I'll just have to settle for them for now. So, in short, I need a new phone and a more powerful computer to enjoy many of the benefits of the Hero 9, not something I can afford at the moment.

Good alternative to original
This is great value for money. Not quite the quality of original GoPro parts, but everything seem strong enough to do the job. Head mount and chest mount comfortable and up to the job; quick release clips work fine; the case is really useful. Unless you are in a position to spend vast amounts on GoPro's own extras, I'd thoroughly recommend this kit to expand your videoing capabilities!
