Not really for karaoke
The device works well as a CD player. It also works to amplify your voice. Unfortunately, both do not work well at the same time. The CD music fades to almost nothing when you use the microphone, making it almost impossible to know what part of the song you are supposed to sing. I tried fiddling with all the volume controls and nothing solved the problem.
