Think she could have titled it better. “Growing up Southern”, “My Hometown”, “My Southern Childhood”, etc. Would never have bought it by title.
If you are from the deep south, you will really enjoy reading this book. I felt as if I was visiting my old hometown. The author is describing Fitzgerald, GA and her childhood years with her parents and neighbors. I grew up in Warwick and Albany, Georgia, about 35 miles (guessing) to Fitzgerald, so same area. Enjoyed!
