    About

Dear eBayers and Customers, I am an Illustrator, Artist, Sculptor and Model Maker. It's fair to say that I seem like a Jack of All Trades, but I'm Super Passionate in all that I do especially in one other venture and that's writing stories, poems and a novel that combines both these elements! I cook, bake and sculpt flowers for Wedding Cakes and Picture Frames. There is so much to be enthusiastic about, but alas I have to stop here.

Star Wars R2-D2 action figure 1984, coin, pop-up lightsaber 'Power of the Force’

R2D2 With Pop Up Lightsaber POTF
I Guess that I am Crazy About R2! Let’s Face it- who isn’t? Since 1977 and His Debut in Episode IV A New Hope the Plucky Little Astromech Has Chirped and Whistled His Way into Everyone’s Hearts and Minds and with His Counterpart has Inspired Robotics as we Understand and Know it today! Back in 1978 the Solid Dome Early Bird Blue R2 was my Very First Figure. And then when He was Re-released with Sensor Scope in 1982 I Eagerly Snapped that one up too! The Ironic thing is when R2 was released in 1984 with an Entirely New Sculpt with Luke’s Lightsaber I Felt a Little Conned! I felt that Kenner at the time could have produced a Jabba’s Sail Barge R2? But I digress! Having Purchased my First POTF R2 I actually felt that He Fit in With His Predecessor Figures. I think that I Overlooked this Figure as a Brand New Sculpt but began to Appreciate this as I grew older! But one thing that I never understood is that I kept Him in a Controlled Environment but still His body Decal yellowed over time whereas the others did not do so- well certainly not as much hence my purchase of this one. Although the Sculpt even from the Original in 1978 was not Accurate with regards to the Computer Dome the Figure Somehow Imbued the Essence of R2’s Character! I have always Loved the Chromed Finish- again not really accurate- and the varying hues of Lapis Blue in Figure Variations. Whilst the Figure had and has some shortcomings it has heart, warmth and a sincerity that some contemporary Figures Lack. And I Always Get that Buzz with this Figure! He is R2D2! What More Can I Say!?
Vintage: Star Wars 1982 MPC Y-Wing Fighter Painted Built Model Kit #8934

    MPC Y-Wing Fighter Model Kit
While there have been more up to date incarnations of the Y-Wing Model Kit MPC filled the void in terms of producing an Iconic Model of this Hardy Rebel Alliance War Horse. While it was never supremely accurate it was affordable and detailed enough to give the Modeller a Reasonable Representation of its on screen counterpart with a bit of hard work and determination. It is a Great little kit to have especially as this is a Very, Very Rare Version of this Model in that it is made of an off white polystyrene plastic and has tinted windows much like the Original Airfix Imperial Shuttle Tyderium and the Original Airfix Set Of Four Snap Fix A-Wing, B-Wing, X-Wing and Tie Intercepter. Historically this one Model, Completing the Five Set is a Very Precious Item to have in anyone's Collection. As time goes on these kits are becoming increasingly rare. I would highly recommend this model to any serious Collector!

The Black Hole- A Film in its time for its time. Great Story! Well Worth it
While it cannot be famed for being a great film in terms of acting and there many of its short comings that we cannot extensively go into the Black Hole is honest in its dark introspective and meloncholic tale of a man consumed by his twisted genius and insular determination to see his ambition through. The over all aesthetic of the film has something of the gothic in its brooding and sometimes pensive atmosphere and the pallet of the in set design lends itself to the prevailing mood. The USS Cygnus is positively Victorian in its almost skeletal structure hauntingly beautified from within cascading light as if she was some lonely becon on the edge of space the Palomino it's smaller rust bucket of a counterpart. The story is a good one if you see the film for what it is. The Black Hole was a film made in it's time for its time.
