Prince 1999
0 of 1 found this helpful 1999 was the 5th album released by Prince, and it established him as one of the most talented and well respected artists in music. The album truly represents his creativity and showcases his incredible talent as a multi instrumentalist. Of course, these songs include brilliant funky sounds as well as pop beats and a couple beautiful piano ballads. On this album, Prince developed into the fearless artist that he is so well respected for and as a result, this album is loaded with incredible and unique material. Of course, 1999 produced huge hits for Prince and he enjoyed huge success as he had top ten hits with Little Red Corvette, Delirious, and the title song 1999. Lady Cab Driver and DMSR are classic Prince hits and the 9 minute Lets Pretend Were Married is raw Prince at his erotic best. This album is one that can and should be played from beginning to end as this was the first masterpiece album for Prince and one of the best albums of the 80s.
