Not well defined on what it takes to be compatable.
5 of 5 found this helpful Advertised as eSATA Drive and comeing with an eSATA cable. This however does not power up the device. Connected to my eSATA port on my desktop and nothing. Closer look at the cable it comes with and it is an eSATAp aka eSATA Power connection cable identified on the cable with eSATA and the USB symbol. An eSATA and USB (for pwr) to an eSATAp connector cable will not work due to the DEll Box port not accepting the eSATAp mail connector. So far I have not found a cable that works with it, I wonder if the connector into the DELL box is proprietary?
