Handy kit

I bought this set to desolder some electronic components from an old computer motherboard. My old 15W solder iron just wasn't working. This set worked like a charm with the hot air gun's assistance. The solder gun could be better, but for the price it's a good value. I recommend it.

A good buy on a solid motherboard.

I was looking for a new motherboard wth the LGA775 cpu socket, so I could re-purpose the cpu out of my dead desktop computer and upgrade from the Pentium 3 on the Supermicro P4SCE server motherboard on my NAS. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Supermicro X7SBL-LN2 board for under $30. It will also accept the 8G of ram from my dead computer! The reliability of Supermicro server boards is unquestioned, so I did not hesitate to buy this one. The seller shipped very quickly, the board was packaged in an anti-static bag and boxed very well. After installation, the board powered up and booted with no issues. I'm very happy. There's not much I enjoy better than up-cycling and re-purposing old computer stuff!

Works, but....

For the price I paid, just over $2, I can't complain too much. It works as a music server from my iphone7, but it rattles and causes an occasional electrical noise through my speakers. Also, it doesn't work while plugged-in to charge. You have to unplug it and rely on its battery for the bt function to work. I just bought it to see whether my stereo head unit would work with any bluetooth device. It does, so I got my money's worth, but, sorry, but I can't recommend this bt unit. Spend the money and get one that is of decent quality.
