The Best of MSG
Long story short, Michael is playing beautifully here and the best of his old bands and singers play and sing their hearts out to an adoring Tokyo audience. Everyone is smiling and it reflects in their impeccable playing. The sound is killer from my TV speakers. Worthwhile purchase.

Hail Odin!
After purchasing a Valkrie strap by LM, and seeing how well made it was I felt the next strap up the Nordic chain had to be Odin. Shown with my Daphne , the brown leather with (very) solid antiqued brass rings and hardware is destined to be a classic. I distressed it lightly to help it break in but this will last a lifetime. It'll take a little wiggling and pressure, but fitting Dunlop Strap Locks did not require any modifications or hole enlargements. Definitely getting a black one and the Heimdall also looks sharp in brown. Top marks for build, style, quality of materials and value ($45 from Sweetwater).

Best case humidifier
Acoustic guitars are not the only instruments that need humidity control, ever have an annoying buzz on one string on yiur Les Paul that wasn't there days ago? It's not your action needing adjustment usually, it's yiur guitar crying out for moisture. I've experimented with D'idario humidifiers in my acoustic guitars, then I added Herco versions to my electric and acoustic cases. In some cases, especially in SoCal, the wimpy sponge in the D'idarios can't sustain for more than four-days. I started using Music Nomad's products and found their sponge to hold nearly 5x more distilled water and lasts more than a week in a sealed case. The Taylor large display hydrometer keeps me informed about conditions in the room, but lately I decided to try the Music Nomad hydrometer. It's within 2% humidity of the Taylor and can accurately measure what's going on inside. The larger case humidifier makes the need for a second (Herco) only necessary at the driest time of year (September through January). Very happy since far. Just don't oversaturate the sponge and pour off any excess after letting it sit an hour. The price is worth its capacity and time saved refilling those D'idarios.
