Exactly what I needed for my DV7
Configuration of batteries within the enclosure provides extra clearance between the base of the laptop and whatever your setting it on. This helps prevent overheating of the laptop and keeps the surface mount GPU from "unsoldiering" itself.

Is the JVC KW-R920BTS Car Stereo with XM Ready a good purchase?
3 of 3 found this helpful YES? You'll need to make three additional items to complete the system. First is the SiriusXM Receiver. Second is the radio interface kit - is you want access to the steering wheel controls or OnStar system. Third is the mounting kit. Went to Crutchfield to find out what matched the radio to the car and ordered them on eBay. All of them worked and the sound from the system came out wonderfully.
