Durable, excellent MCBF rating.
Much better than the potentiometer I had in our Vita-Mix blender. Perfect drop-in replacement, works perfectly.

Does what we need it to do.
We've got two of these, and my son in college uses it to keep important devices running in class.

Surprisingly good; another great choice for headphones geared for portability and travel.
In this price range I was expecting these to perform like a set of Beats by Dre Solo HD headphones. These Sonys definitely delivered crisp mid-range output that the Dre's could not touch. Don't get me wrong, the Dre product, by itself, made for interesting listening of a group of six singers delivering a fairly wide range of pitch and intonation, but the Dre Solo HD didn't make the grade for separating the two men singing in the lower range (bass and baritone). The Dre Solos seemed to make their male voices boom and smother the output from the ladies (who all sounded almost the same on the Dre product, which was odd, because with a naked ear the richness we heard outside the booth was not duplicated by the Dre Solo HD when listening to the recorded file). We thought it was a problem with our recording process.
Enter this little set of Sony headphones. A tiny bit weighty, but just a little...and much better in mid-range and higher without giving up bass performance. A fine reproduction of the higher pitch singing performances, with a clarity to enable differentiating separate performers to decide stage placement. We could tell that the two men were on separate ends of the stage ensemble. Excellent! The recorded file was not the problem after all! This displayed an excellent sound rendition by the Sony MDR X05 heaphones that the Dre Solo HD's simply could not duplicate.
Yes, we are impressed! We purchased five more of these little gems.
