Could have been packaged wth more padding.....
As a result, a couple of small dents/blemishes, but nothing that detracted from the functionality. More padding between item and box would have been helpful.

Solid Router
This router is sturdy and well constructed with quality materials. So far, it has been 100% reliable. The user interface would not come up on my Chrome browser until I updated the firmware, but after that it was smooth sailing. I didn't notice too much performance improvement over my older Archer C7, but my living area is small, so it's hard to say.
It has some nice features, like night mode for the LED lights, speed test, and smart connect-- so my devices seem to be matched to the best connections possible. All and all, a good, reliable product, as my past experiences with TP-Link has been. If you can get it at a good price, it's also a good value.

Update on Updates....
1 of 1 found this helpful Just wanted to say that I updated the software and maps (to 2018) using the MB Download Manager. I downloaded the app onto my PC from the MB website. Insert SD Card and launch app. Use "Help" function to get to get the user name and password you need. Select the MB SD card, login, and you'll be prompted to back-up your current card if desired. After that, the card automatically updates-- it will take a while (20GB in downloads). When you insert SD card into car, it asks you if you want to activate for your specific car (just like the first time). After that, you have the latest maps and software.
