Super Mario Bros. Movie - Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo
2 of 2 found this helpful I enjoy sci-fi fantasy and comics so decided to collect movies following these themes. Usually, if there are sequels, I limit myself to the original unless the sequels are outstanding. Some of my favourites include Dune, Storm Troopers, Dick Tracy, Fifth Element and Tank Girl. Those films with a lot of horror or graphic violence, such as Alien, are usually not in my collection.
One of my favourite movies, and one very rarely shown on television,is Super Mario Bros. I just finished watching this movie and it put me right back in the game; great sound effects. The lead actors worked well together and were totally believable as the "brothers". Princess Daisy was sweet yet tough. All in all an otherwise dreary Monday night was saved by Luigi Mario and Mario Mario, the Super Mario Bros. Getting lost in a movie for the sake of being carefree is a luxury many of us have forgotten how to do but we could sure benefit from doing just that. S-o-o-o I guess it's time to dust off the old grey Nintendo box and settle in for a few hours of saving Princess Daisy (before I hit rewind on the DVD player and settle in for the second viewing).
