Gasket

I have a 70's vintage saw, a homelite E-Z and I had to "open" up the I.D. Of the gasket so it would pass over the threads of the gas cap. It'll work for now but when the saw tips where the fuel "tests" the gasket, the cap leaks. Indicative of a wrong gasket. But it's my fault.
