No Matter What, you'll want this remastered version
Sounds better than the original pressing. Yes, some "loudness wars" mixed in, but both the original "No Dice" and the original "Best Of" disc needed it bad. Apple did the necessary track mix to get buyers to both keep the original and buy the new release. The demo mix of "No Matter What" sounds interesting, although slightly less "louder" as the finished track on this release.

"Best of" but not necessarily the best sound quality for a Kansas compilation
The 1999 release from Legacy sounds better than the original 1990 release. Yet, in a departure from the usually-reputable Legacy and how they do remasters, the sound is not as good compared to the 2002 compilation release “The Ultimate Kansas.” The latter release is also from Legacy, so it’s curious as to how the two differ in quality. If you’re up for buying used CDs, you’ll not see a big price difference between the single “Best Of” compilation and the double-disc “Ultimate.” The double-disc set has more songs you’re sure to enjoy as well as better sound quality and probably a very competitive price.
As with the original CD release and the song “Perfect Lover” which was included solely on that set, the second “Best of” compilation has the song “The Devil Game” which is not on the “Ultimate” release. “Perfect Lover” isn’t too bad, but I’d suggest previewing the song first to see if you like it before buying the 1990 release. “The Devil Game” is from the band’s 1975 debut release. Unless you really like that song, the smart money for a Kansas compilation set is on “Ultimate.”

Gotta roll with Little Feat's "Let It Roll"
Not a bad Little Feat album with Paul Barrere and Craig Fuller handling vocal duties some years after Lowell George's untimely passing. Like many Warner Bros. artists, most of the Little Feat catalog is not offered as remastered editions. Fans can get a greatest hits compilation from Rhino that includes the title track "Let It Roll," and while those tracks sound better than their original issues, if you want this album, then you have to buy it as it was originally issued. Still a pretty good comeback for the band and one I had to get, especially after hearing the title track. There's always deep cuts on Little Feat albums that add more value to what's heard initially, and this one is no exception.
