ON-U Sound Rebuttal to Eno & Byrne

Released in 1981, the same year as Brian Eno and David Byrne's My Life In A Bush of Ghosts. While I've known about Bush of Ghosts since 1986, it's only in the last few years, 2007, that I knew this existed. There are only a couple of tracks that seem directly influenced by it. However, it is made without samplers. That's right, it's a multitrack edited feast. Musically, we've got beat tracks, with lush bass from On-U player Lizard, and percussionist Eskimo Fox, underpinning semi-loose experimental vocals and sounds. It's another excellent set of music that combines the energy of live instrument recordings with dubbed out electronic grit sound effects that the ON-U collective is known for.
