Won't function at 20v

I didn't see any mention of this device being limited to 12Vdc when I purchased it. However, the instructions indicate that it is unstable above 12Vdc. The specification for the XR2206 is 10 to 26 volts. This seems to be a knock-off of the Exar device. Not happy.
