"Encourages better front fork maintenance"
Changing or adjusting the oil in the standard fork assembly is a bind due to the nuts retaining the springs under compression. These nuts make the process much more convenient and are particularly of use with modified dampers when trying to establish the optimum volume and viscosity of oil for best performance. The only improvement would be to replace the slot with a hexagon socket to allow the use of a key.
