Champagne headphones with a beer budget price!
I have owned at least 20 high quality headphones in the lat couple of years.
The sonorous 3 is one of my favorites.
Dollar for dollar you will not find headphones with this quality of sound.
They outperform phones costing hundreds more.

Splendid headphone
1 of 1 found this helpful The DT 1990 is a superb headphone. I tend to like a "brighter" sounding 'phone. The criticism of the "Beyer House Sound" is that it is TOO bright, sibilant, piercing. My experience with the DT 1990 does not coincide with this critique. I find them to be very revealing while never departing from musicality. Imaging (one of my priorities) is good but not exceptional. In short I find the DT 1990's to be a very enjoyable listen.

A superbly musical headphone
In my opinion the K812 is a very underrated headphone,
The reviews online by "professional" reviewers is mixed at best.
I have owned TOTL phones from the "Big 3" manufacturers (Beyer Dynamic, Sennheiser, and AKG).
In my opinion the K812 outperforms the HD800s, and the T1,
It is more "present" with more body and tonal richness than the Senn. or Beyer.
It images better then either, and although the soundstage may not be quite as wide as the HD800,
it is plenty wide while providing more depth of field. To me the Senn sounds too diffuse. While transparency is desirable, sound needs to have some substance to be realistic.
To me the K812 offers a terrific balance that provides a very musical listening experience. It is my favorite headphone out of the perhaps 15 or so I have owned
